Feyenoord star calls out to Real Madrid

Earlier this week, Feyenoord’s young teenage sensation Jerayno Schaken spoke to the media where he gave his two cents ahead of his side’s clash against Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League.

As part of his interaction, he made it very clear to the media that he is a staunch Real Madrid aficionado and that it is his dream club over the Catalan giants.

“It’s the club of my dreams,” Schaken said, as quoted by SPORT.

Given his love for Real Madrid, it will mean a lot to the player to be a part of his team’s clash against Barcelona tomorrow.

While it remains unclear if he will be called up, the 17-year-old prospect hopes to have earned a spot to make an impact and help his side pull off an upset.

“I still don’t know if I’m going, that depends on the coach. I let myself be surprised,” he said.

“It would be nice to be able to enter there, but I’m happy if I can play, just like that,” he added.

A special talent

Jerayno Schaken is the son of former Dutch footballer Ruben Schaken and announced himself on the big stage just days ago.

Coming on the field at the hour mark, he scored a goal in Feyenoord’s 3-1 win over NEC just five minutes into his debut which came as a massive moment.

On the night, the 17-year-old star became the youngest footballer in history to score on his Eredivisie debut for Feyenoord and also earned his spot as the club’s second youngest goalscorer of all time.

There is still a long way to go for the teenager before he begins catching the eye of the European elite, but there is no doubt that he is on the right track.

Should his development continue as it is, Real Madrid may appear on the horizon somewhere down the line.
