The Telegraph reports that Fiorentina have opened talks with Leeds United over a deal for Wilfried Gnonto.

The 22-year-old suffered a pre-season injury, missed the opening-day Premier League win over Nottingham Forest and the Carabao Cup second round victory, then returned as an unused substitute for the 1-1 draw with Brentford. He has not featured in any of Leeds’ first three matches. The report did not state whether any agreement would be permanent or a loan.

Daniel Farke said: "With Willy, if there would be something he wouldn't be in the squad today. I just have players who are really focused." The comments were given to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

"I was happy that Willy is and since today back in team training and he adapted his body, reacted in a positive way."

"But with Willy, as long as he's here, he's fully in my plans."
