Fiorentina ‘to sign’ Gnonto on loan from Leeds, option to buy | OneFootball

According to Fabrizio Romano, Fiorentina have agreed a season-long loan for Italy international Wilfried Gnonto from Leeds United, with an option to buy. La Viola are expected to pay his salary in full.

The 13-time Italy international is set for his first Serie A campaign. He is expected in Tuscany on Monday evening for a medical and to complete paperwork.

Fiorentina are also working to bring in Beto from Everton for around €20m, intended to replace the Como-bound Moise Kean.

Gianluca Di Marzio reports that completing a deal for Gnonto would also free up Fiorentina’s Albert Gudmundsson, who is attracting interest from several Serie A clubs in the final 48 hours of the summer window.

Born in Italy, Gnonto spent eight years in Inter’s academy. He moved to Zurich in 2020, then joined Leeds in 2022, and has yet to appear in Serie A.
