Serie A side Fiorentina could be about to make another major coup in the market, with a deal for Parma striker Mateo Pellegrino getting closer.
Juventus had previously pursued the Argentine striker’s signature but they could never quite come close to meeting their valuation.
While Crystal Palace were also interested, it is Fiorentina who are closing in over a deal.
Tuttomercatoweb report that Fabio Paratici has been trying to sign Pellegrino for a while now and he is a big admirer of the player. There is a rough agreement between Parma and La Viola over the transfer, with the player expected to cost Fiorentina €20 million. The final details of the move are being discussed by the parties, who are optimistic that the move should go through.
The deal would hinge largely on Roberto Piccoli’s future, though. The striker is being pursued by Bologna and talks are underway for the Italian to find a new club, with the Rossoblu only having offered an initial deal worth €15 million for him, with Fiorentina demanding a package worth €20 million.
