Five arrested after disorder at Wolves v Port Vale EFL Cup match | OneFootball

Five people were arrested after disorder during Wolves’ EFL Cup tie with Port Vale at Molineux. West Midlands Police said scenes in the away end were unacceptable and that it would continue working with clubs and the EFL to take strong action.

Four people, aged between 17 and 45, were held on suspicion of affray after disorder broke out in the away section on Friday, seven August.

A fifth person, a 17-year-old boy, was arrested on suspicion of causing intentional harassment, alarm or distress after an inappropriate gesture was allegedly made towards a female spectator.

All five have been bailed with strict conditions while enquiries continue, and the investigation remains ongoing.

Supporters who witnessed the incident are asked to come forward with information about events leading up to the disorder. Anyone with information should call West Midlands Police on 101, quoting crime number 20/355180/26.
