Flamengo have agreed a deal to sell Gonzalo Plata to Dynamo Moscow.

According to Coluna Do Fla, the package is €12m paid upfront and the Ecuadorian will sign a four-year contract.

Flamengo accepted the offer for financial reasons, and the player wants the move after receiving a higher salary proposal from the Russian club. He is due to travel to Russia on Friday 28 for medical tests and will miss the match against Botafogo on Sunday 30 in the 25th round of the Brasileirão.

Plata joined Flamengo in August 2024 from Al-Sadd for 9.1 million dollars, R$ 51.9 million at the time. He has made 100 appearances, scoring nine goals and providing 14 assists.

The report argues that, despite modest numbers, he is valued for his tactical role and his absence may be felt initially.
