A pair of former teammates at La Liga champions Barcelona are all set to link back up at club level over the days ahead. This comes amid confirmation that Adama Traoré has agreed to take his talents to Deportivo La Coruña.
Winger Traoré has for his part been searching for the next stop in his winding career throughout the summer window. Released by West Ham United following the Irons’ Premier League relegation last season, the 30-year-old has been available as a free agent for several months now.
A whole host of clubs were credited with an interest in his services across this time, albeit with none having gone as far as to table a contract offer to Traoré and his entourage.
But as alluded to above, this week, as much finally appears to have come to fruition for the explosive winger. As per a report from market insider Matteo Moretto:
‘Adama Traoré to Dépor is verbally agreed. The footballer will travel tomorrow to Galicia to tie up the last loose ends of the deal and sign the contract.’
In making the move to the Estadio Riazor, Traoré is primed to reunite with a former Barcelona teammate, in the form of veteran frontman Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
