Nottingham Forest are already turning attention to the January window after a quiet summer of five signings, with Gustavo Sa sent to Olympiacos on loan.

Following Saturday’s 0-0 draw with Tottenham Hotspur, Forest have 15 games before the market reopens. According to Nottingham Post, Oliver Glasner is content with a streamlined squad and a quality-over-quantity approach.

A reported £38m offer did not advance amid suggestions Spurs wanted £50m, and with James McAtee thriving deeper, midfield was deprioritised, though his limited minutes could keep this alive.

Forest also looked at teenagers Harrison Armstrong and Trey Nyoni, with an Armstrong deal halted by Everton. Brazilian prospect Andre was linked after a £10m bid was rejected and a counterproposal reportedly went unanswered, and he is said to prefer a move to Europe after the Brazilian season.

Juventus centre-back Federico Gatti has long been on the list. He is said to have rejected a lucrative offer in 2025 and stayed in Turin, and with central defence light, where Ryan Yates and Nicolo Savona are cover, it may be revisited.
