Leeds United did not make a second bid for Mykhailo Mudryk, but Chelsea have ended talks about a move to Elland Road for the Ukrainian.
Mudryk returned to the Chelsea squad last month after his ban was lifted, ending an absence from competitive action that had lasted around 20 months.
The 25-year-old was then included in the Blues’ pre-season tour squad and featured as a substitute in several games.
However, the Ukrainian could well be on a move away from Stamford Bridge before the summer window closes, with multiple clubs, both in England and abroad, interested in the player.
Leeds have already seen a loan offer for Mudryk turned down by Chelsea, with Coventry City and Brentford also keen on the player.

Despite the transfer interest, Chelsea boss Xabi Alonso indicated that the club have not yet decided whether to loan out the 25-year-old.
Leeds have been keen to sign the Ukrainian and have already had one proposal knocked back.
It was claimed they made a second bid and it was turned down, but that is not the case, even though Chelsea have ended talks with Leeds.
The Ukrainian however would still like to link up with Daniel Farke’s men, leaving open the possibility talks could happen again.
Journalist Nizaar Kinsella wrote on X: “Chelsea say they have ended talks with Leeds for winger Mykhailo Mudryk.

“A move to Leeds remains the Ukrainian’s preference.
“Remains to be seen if deal is revived after weekend talks but no second bid was made.”
The Whites have been looking to bolster their attack this summer to lighten the load on Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha.
The Elland Road outfit have already secured the signature of Harry Wilson from Fulham and are keen on Mudryk.
Now it remains to be seen if talks are rekindled or Leeds look elsewhere.
Meanwhile, the Whites’ swoop for Eintracht Frankfurt goalkeeper Michael Zetterer is now in doubt,
