Friendly action: Atalanta victory has Ederson on target, Lazio win 6-0 | OneFootball

Ederson scored in Atalanta’s 3-2 friendly win, just weeks after Manchester United abandoned his transfer over a failed medical, while Lazio swept a local side away 6-0.

Atalanta got off to a nightmare start in today’s test match against Arezzo, as they went 2-0 down in the opening eight minutes to goals from Alessandro Arena and Illanes.

Maurizio Sarri’s side eventually woke up and turned it all around after the break.

Ederson makes Atalanta mark

Ibrahim Sulemana got them back on track from Nikola Krstovic’s assist, and Ederson came off the bench to score on the counter-attack for 2-2.

Krstovic completed the comeback with a 3-2 winner from Daniel Maldini’s corner.

Ederson had been all set for a move to Manchester United worth €45m, but it was scrapped following intensive medical tests.

Atalanta insisted the Brazil international had no long-term knee damage and signed him to a new five-year contract.

In other friendly news, Lazio beat local team Flaminia Civita Castellana 6-0.

The goals were scored by Matteo Cancellieri, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Ricardo Bordon, Petar Ratkov, Nicolò Rovella and Mattia Zaccagni.
