Gennaro Gattuso ordered Kenneth Taylor off during Lazio training yesterday after a heated verbal exchange.

According to Radio Laziale, the club view the incident as a routine internal matter and are unlikely to impose disciplinary sanctions. Taylor trained as normal today.

The former Valencia manager halted the session, walked over angrily and gestured at the midfielder before sending him to the dressing room. Taylor did not complete the workout with his team-mates.

The clash came a little over an hour into the morning session. Gattuso arrived in Italy on 10 July to start his stint with Lazio, three weeks on he has signalled a no-nonsense approach.

Taylor joined the capital club in the January window in a deal worth €17 million.
