Girona star pushing for Real Sociedad switch | OneFootball

A member of the midfield ranks at Girona is ready to push through a transfer to La Liga rivals Real Sociedad before the transfer window slams shut.

That’s according to journalist Nil Solà, who highlights Yangel Herrera as the player in question.

Venezuelan international Herrera, for his part, is currently sidelined owing to an injury suffered en route to Girona’s 5-0 drubbing at the hands of Villarreal last weekend.

And this outing, it would appear, could well prove to be the 27-year-old’s last in the colours of the Catalan club.

As per a report from the aforementioned Nil Solà, regarded as reliable when it comes to all matters Girona:

‘Yangel Herrera has informed Girona that he wants to leave in this summer transfer market.’

Not only that, but the midfielder has a desired landing spot in mind, in the form of Real Sociedad.

It is in turn concluded that:

‘The positions of the clubs, if the Basques push hard, will come closer. High possibilities that the transfer will happen.’
