Givairo Read open to summer move amid Nottingham Forest and Roma interest | OneFootball

Givairo Read has signalled he is open to a summer transfer, with Nottingham Forest and Roma vying for the Feyenoord full-back.

“It’s not that I think I have to leave now because I’ve learned all I can here, that is certainly not the case.” He told Voetbal International.

“I still have an awful lot to learn and I’ve only just turned 20. Having said that, I want to consider a transfer if that opportunity arises. You never know how many chances you get in life.”

“If I don’t leave, then I will stay and I just want to play to win the title here. After that, the Dutch national team is the next step, I hope.”

The defender made an eye-catching senior breakthrough in the Dutch league last season. It is claimed Forest have made three offers, the latest worth €21m-€23m (£17.9m-£19.6m), which were rejected, although they have reportedly agreed a five-year contract with the player. Roma are said to have launched a €25m (£21.4m) bid and hope to fly him back to Italy in the next few days.
