Gladbach goalkeeper heads out on loan

Borussia Mönchengladbach have confirmed that Tiago Pereira Cardoso is joining Belgian top-flight side RAAL La Louvière on a one-year loan deal.

"Tiago is a regular in the Luxembourg national team and has already shown us, despite his young age, that he is capable of playing in the Bundesliga. A year of regular football in a strong league is therefore a logical and important next step for him,” said Gladbach sporting director Rouven Schröder.

“It's an approach that has worked very well for us before, particularly with goalkeepers, and we hope it will help him kick on again in his development.”

The 20-year-old made his competitive debut for Gladbach's first team in March 2025 and has featured five times in the Bundesliga so far.
