Nico Elvedi marked his 75th international appearance with a goal as Switzerland recorded a convincing 3-0 victory over Scotland in the UEFA Nations League at Hampden Park.

The Leeds United defender started and completed the full 90 minutes, helping Switzerland make it two wins from two in Group B1.

After Ricardo Rodríguez had put the visitors ahead from a free-kick in the first half, Elvedi doubled their advantage ten minutes after the interval.

Dan Ndoye collected the ball on the right following a corner before sending a low delivery into the area, where Elvedi made a well-timed run to meet the cross and guide his finish past the goalkeeper.

The goal was Elvedi's fourth for Switzerland and came on his 75th appearance for his country.

Zeki Amdouni completed the scoring eight minutes from time, with Ndoye again providing the assist, as Switzerland secured a second successive 3-0 victory in the Nations League.

Elvedi produced an impressive all-round display at the heart of the Swiss defence, seeing more of the ball than any other player on the pitch with 146 touches.

The 30-year-old completed 124 passes and also created one chance, while recording one shot alongside his goal.

Defensively, Elvedi made six contributions, including one tackle, four clearances and one interception. He also made five recoveries and won seven duels as Switzerland kept Scotland at bay.

The victory sees Switzerland maintain their perfect start to the Nations League campaign, with Jaka Bijol's Slovenia next up on Saturday.
