Gonzalo Plata and Wallace Yan sales bring Flamengo closer to budget target | OneFootball

Flamengo are now R$ 71 million short of their R$ 256 million player sale target this year after moves involving Gonzalo Plata and Wallace Yan.

According to Coluna Do Fla, Dynamo Moscow will pay 12 million euros (R$ 72.5 million) upfront for the Ecuadorian forward, while Red Bull Bragantino plan to buy Wallace Yan for 6 million euros (R$ 38 million) for 70% of his economic rights.

The two deals in this window total about R$ 184.5 million. Flamengo had already earned 10 million euros (R$ 58 million) from Ryan Roberto’s sale to Shakhtar Donetsk.

The club also brought in roughly R$ 23 million from João Gomes’ switch from Wolverhampton to Aston Villa via FIFA’s solidarity mechanism and a retained percentage. Taken together, these transactions come to R$ 213 million.

Flamengo do not plan to move on any more first-team players, with no replacements signed. On Friday 28 the pair did not train and have been cleared to continue their negotiations, with formal announcements to follow once concluded.

The club posted R$ 519 million from player-rights sales in 2025, according to last year’s financial report, a little more than double the current target. The report described Plata as a significant absentee ahead of a Libertadores quarter-final and said it does not expect reinforcements, with no indication of a replacement for the Ecuadorian.
