Granada head coach Alexander Medina has this evening provided an update on the wellbeing of defensive star Bruno Méndez.
Stopper Méndez, for his part, has spent the last couple of weeks on the sidelines.
As much comes owing to a hamstring injury suffered in training last month.
The 24-year-old, as a result, was forced to sit out Granada’s last two La Liga outings, against Barcelona and Almería.
Amid the club’s ongoing efforts to stave off relegation from the top-flight, it will therefore no doubt come as a welcome relief for all associated with the Nazaríes to hear that Méndez has enjoyed a full recovery.
Speaking in a press conference on Friday, Alexander Medina was asked for the latest on the fitness of the January arrival at Los Cármenes.
And Granada’s boss went on to confirm that Méndez is back available for selection, after returning to training earlier this week.
The Uruguayan is therefore expected to feature from the off, when his side make the trip to El Madrigal to take on Villarreal on Sunday afternoon.
