Grêmio confirm Tetê injury, Willian a doubt for Juventude semi-final

Grêmio have been hit by injuries before Sunday’s decisive Gauchão semi-final second leg against Juventude, with Tetê out for 10 to 14 days and Willian a doubt.

The club said Tetê sustained a muscle injury to the back of his right thigh, felt in last Sunday’s match.

Willian has muscular oedema, is undergoing physiotherapy and will be assessed daily, so his involvement on Sunday at 18:00 remains uncertain.

Grêmio want Monsalve available for the tie. The Colombian midfielder suffered a left-thigh muscle injury, confirmed on 5 February, and is in the final phase of recovery.

Jefinho and Cristaldo are the alternatives. Willian had been nursing muscle pain since the São Paulo game last week and was replaced at half-time against Juventude.
