Gustavo Martins scored the 1200th goal in Gre-Nal history, opening the scoring at Beira-Rio in Sunday’s match that decides the 2026 Campeonato Gaúcho.

The centre-back struck at 53 minutes of the first half after Marlon’s left-sided corner, Noriega glancing on at the near post for a low finish beyond Rochet. Globo.com notes he now joins a roll of centenary scorers that includes Escurinho.

Alex scored goal 1100 in the 2014 Gauchão final, which Inter won 4-1 at the Centenário.

That was Inter’s most recent win by a three-goal margin, the result required on Sunday to take the decider to penalties before kick-off.

Other milestones were Fernandão with goal 1000 for Inter, Paulo Egídio with goal 900 for Grêmio, and Tarciso with goal 800 for Grêmio.
