Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has confirmed his intention to be cautious when making use of attacking star Raphinha against Chelsea.
This of course comes with the Brazilian fresh off marking his return to the pitch.
Raphinha featured in a competitive setting for the first time in almost two months this past weekend, following a spell on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.
En route to Barcelona putting four past Athletic Club in their Spotify Camp Nou comeback, the former Leeds United man was introduced off the bench to rapturous applause late on.
Looking sharp in his limited time on the grass, it has in turn since been suggested that Raphinha could be afforded a prominent role when the Blaugrana make the trip to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea on Tuesday.
Drawn on as much during his pre-match press conference this evening, however, Hansi Flick urged caution, in explaining:
“Raphinha? Step by step with Raphinha. For me, the important thing is that he’s back. About the minutes and how much he will play, we’ll decide. He’s had the same injury twice and that’s not good at this stage, so we’ll be careful.”
