Heckingbottom confirms Preston star is set to depart – and reveals transfer blows | OneFootball

Preston North End boss Paul Heckingbottom has confirmed that a deal has been agreed for Milutin Osmajic to join Serie A side Genoa.

Osmajic has been heavily linked with a move to Italy in recent days and Heckingbottom says it is now expected to go ahead.

“Yes, I think that’s been agreed today,” Heckingbottom told the Lancashire Post after his side’s 3-1 defeat to Wolves.

“I think we’ve come off [the pitch] and I think that’s been agreed today.”

The departure will leave Preston with another player to replace before the transfer window closes, with Heckingbottom admitting the club still have significant work to do in the market after missing out on two recent targets.

“The business we’ve done so far has been really good in terms of players we’ve brought in to replace, players who have gone out, but we’ve lost a lot of players,” he said.

“We’ve still got a lot to replace and now Milly is another one we’ve got to replace.

“We’ve had two fees agreed for wide players that we weren’t able to get through the door.

“So, we’re still working, working hard, but we’ve got 10 days, two weeks left to try and, well, we will be doing business, but try to finish the window in as strong a possible position.”
