Héctor Fort joins Real Sociedad on deal to 2031 | OneFootball

Real Sociedad have made Héctor Fort their second signing for 2026-27 after completing a move from Barcelona.

The club said in a statement that the 20-year-old has agreed terms until the end of 2030-31. Real will pay eight and a half million euros for 60% of his rights, with Barcelona holding a €20 million buy-back for the first two seasons, rising to €25 million from summer 2029.

Born in Barcelona in 2006, Fort entered La Masia in 2013 and made his debut for the first team in 2023 in the Champions League against Royal Antwerp. He made 30 senior appearances for the club.

He spent last season on loan at Elche, scoring three and providing two assists in 17 top-flight matches. Comfortable on either flank, he adds energy and end product from full-back.

The move bolsters the right-back slot, where only Jon Aramburu was available after Aritz departed, Álvaro Odriozola was injured and Iñaki Rupérez was kept with the B team for the season.

Real Sociedad also saw off firm interest from Borussia Dortmund, who did not reach an agreement with Barcelona on Fort’s price.
