Kim Hellberg provided positive updates on Boro duo Leo Castledine and George Edmundson ahead of their visit to Birmingham on Monday night.
The pair are amongst several other players returning, such as Dael Fry, Riley Mcree, Jeremy Sarmiento and David Strelec. Hellberg spoke about managing these players amidst their returns.
“Edmonson is training with us and Leo is training with us.
“That’s balance that you need to try to find the right way. Sometimes it’s impossible to do it because you need to put players in because you don’t have anyone to balance with.”
Boro were top of the league but have dropped points in their last two matches, which has seen them drop to second and trail leaders Coventry by five points.
Hellberg is confident that his side can get back to goalscoring ways against Birmingham. He said: “We’re still creating a lot of opportunities, but we haven’t been efficient enough in those situations.
“We scored third most I think since I arrived… is it a problem because of two games? I have all the confidence in the world”
“I think it will be quite an open game. They’ve been good for a long time. But we’ve been strong away.”
