Real Madrid were able to extend their lead at the top of the table after a 2-1 win over Barcelona at Santiago Bernabeu.

It was a heated affair between the two rivals, with tensions reaching new highs after the final whistle when both sets of players clashed on the pitch and on the touchline multiple times.

The highlight of these clashes was a confrontation between Lamine Yamal and Vinicius Junior, both of whom exchanged words after the final whistle.

What Vinicius told Yamal

The incident took place after an initial clash that originated from Yamal and Dani Carvajal exchanging words after the final whistle.

But right after Yamal was walking back to the dressing room, Vinicius tried to flame the fire by confronting the Spanish international.

“You only give back passes,” Vinicius screamed, before adding, “You talk too much. Speak now.” His words were accompanied by a gesture of speaking too much.

This was, of course, a direct response to Yamal’s pre-match comment about Real Madrid, where the Barcelona forward accused Los Blancos of cheating.

His words were not taken kindly by the Real Madrid camp, with even the fans booing the Spanish international throughout the match.

It was evident that Yamal had an apt response as well, and the forward was seen gesturing to Vinicius to meet and talk in the tunnel. “Let’s meet outside and settle it,” he said.

Some of Yamal’s words even prompted Vinicius to try and charge directly at the player, only to be stopped by the stewards and both sets of players.

It was evident that Real Madrid players were not happy with Yamal at all, especially after his comments before the game.
