How Gus Hamer feels about re-joining Coventry City in the Premier League from Championship side Sheffield United has been revealed alongside an issue.

Speaking in regards to Hamer’s future to BBC Football Heaven on X (formerly Twitter), Wilder said: "Gus had a red-and-white shirt on today. You've seen his actions, you've seen his attitude towards the game.

"He's not come to me and said he doesn't want to play. There has been interest, of course. That's out there. But as far as I'm concerned, he's a Sheffield United player."

Hamer's professionalism will stand him in good stead with Sheffield United fans, even if they are going to be gutted to lose a player of that quality from their ranks. Hamer has been the standout footballer at Bramall Lane since relegation back to the Championship.
