How On will pay Kylian Mbappé | OneFootball

Swiss brand On has entered football by naming Real Madrid and France forward Kylian Mbappé as a global ambassador on a 10-year agreement.

According to L'Équipe, Mbappé had been courted by several brands after his long association with Nike ended on 31 July, and he signed with the Swiss company on Friday.

Founded in 2010 and best known for running, On is making a firm push into football by securing one of the game’s elite. Its director of football, Thierry Henry, held months of talks with Mbappé to help bring him on board.

The pitch centred on entrepreneurship. Beyond an undisclosed cash package, Mbappé will also be remunerated in shares. On will host an Investor Day at its Zurich headquarters on Tuesday, where it could outline details of the agreement.

The 27-year-old is presented as the creator of the football product range that On plans to launch from 2027. A Kylian Mbappé sub-brand is not planned at this stage within On Football, a contrast to Roger Federer, who co-creates products, has been a shareholder since 2019 and leads a lifestyle line.
