Idrissa Gueye will sign for Al-Diriyah after leaving Everton | OneFootball

Former Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye is set to sign for Al-Diriyah, according to Foot Mercato.

The Merseyside club previously confirmed that discussions were taking place regarding a possible contract extension for Gueye.

However, he is now set to join the billionaire-owned club. He will join Al-Diriyah on a one-year contract with an option for a further year.

Gueye first joined the Blues from Aston Villa in 2016, spending three seasons before leaving for Paris Saint-Germain.

He returned to Everton after three seasons in France and was an influential player in the four years he spent with them.

He played 236 games for Everton across both spells, weighing in with ten goals and 11 assists.

Gueye was a faithful servant of the club, and Moyes will hope to sign a replacement before the transfer window closes.

Everton are now set to end contract talks with Gueye after the expiry of his contract this summer.

He has received a huge financial offer from the Saudi Arabian club and will be announced in the coming days.
