Igor Paixao makes swift return to Marseille training | OneFootball

Igor Paixao (26) has returned to first-team training for Olympique de Marseille, allaying concerns that he had sustained a serious injury in Sunday’s 2-1 defeat to fierce rivals Paris Saint-Germain.

Paixao was withdrawn in the first half, replaced by Angel Gomes, who went on to score for OM. Images shown on the club’s channels showed Paixao training normally alongside his teammates on Wednesday. The winger, who Bruno Genesio fought so hard to keep over the summer, should, therefore, be fit to feature for Marseille when they face ESTAC Troyes on 11th October. OM then continue their UEFA Europa League campaign four days later when they host Olympiacos at the Vélodrome.
