Sky Germany reports that Ipswich Town have agreed a deal to sign Exequiel Palacios from Bayer Leverkusen.

Ipswich look set to complete the move before the summer transfer window closes.

After lengthy negotiations, the clubs agreed a package worth €30 million, comprising €25 million up front and €5 million in bonuses.

Palacios has agreed personal terms on a contract running until 2030. Final details are being ironed out between the clubs, with the central midfielder in line to undergo a medical afterwards.

Palacios has spent the past six and a half years at Leverkusen, making 186 appearances, scoring 15 goals and providing 17 assists.
