Corinthians women’s director Íris Sesso has stopped short of confirming contract renewals for the Brabas. She said decisions hinge on the club’s 2027 budget, while the focus stays on the Brasileiro final and the Libertadores.

According to Meu Timao, Sesso said the club are still studying the situation and awaiting finance department feedback on the 2027 budget. She spoke at the Copinha Feminina launch last Wednesday.

Seven players are out of contract at the end of the year, in 97 days: Thaís Regina, Vic Albuquerque, Lelê, Ariel Godoi, Ana Morganti, Agustina Barroso and Carol Nogueira.

A few weeks ago the club agreed a one-year extension with Colombian forward Gisela Robledo, whose deal had been due to end on 31 August, aided by a R$ 800,000 add-on from sponsor Fatal Fans.

She noted that renewal talks are a constant, the standard must rise each year as the women’s game improves and rivals evolve, and Corinthians want to stay ahead with a winning project.

Outstanding liabilities with the Brabas remain. The club recently paid the second instalment of overdue wages, but bonuses from the 2025 Libertadores and runners-up finishes in the 2026 Copa das Campeãs and Supercopa do Brasil are still pending.

Meanwhile the board are dealing with three transfer bans in the men’s game since May, which do not directly affect women’s registrations, but weigh on the club’s finances.
