Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has admitted that he recently informed both Roony Bardghji and Marc Casadó that they do not feature in his plans for the season ahead.
Barca made the trip to Italy on Saturday afternoon, for a pre-season mini tournament featuring Udinese and Nottingham Forest.
At the last minute, though, the aforementioned Bardghji and Casadó were informed that they would not be part of the travelling party. Both have taken full part in pre-season in Catalunya’s capital to date, but are now considered as being on the exit ramp.
Speaking to the media in the aftermath of yesterday’s test in Udine, the aforementioned Hansi Flick was therefore drawn on the names of the two youngsters.
And Barcelona’s headmaster went on to confirm that Bardghji and Casadó are indeed on the way out, a decision which proved understandably difficult to convey to the players themselves:
“It wasn’t easy for me regarding Roony and Casadó, but I spoke with them and gave them some advice. And that’s how things stand now. These are natural things that happen in clubs; things change, especially since we also have young players from La Masia and we have to make room for them.”
