Florent Ghisolfi has begun Sunderland’s next contract cycle, with new deals for Enzo Le Fée, Wilson Isidor and Robin Roefs delivering a triple boost.

According to Sunderland Echo, the next calls are less urgent but significant. Noah Sadiki, 21 and tied to 2030, and Brian Brobbey, 24 and under contract to 2029, could be rewarded to reflect progress and protect value.

Nordi Mukiele is a different case. He turns 29 in November and is tied to 2029, likely on higher wages. There is little need to revisit his terms now, though his form since establishing himself could merit consideration later.

Pressing decisions sit at the other end. Reinildo’s deal expires next summer and, at 32, he turns 33 in January, so any extension must weigh performance, wages and long-term planning at left-back.

Luke O’Nien is an emotional call, with his deal to 2027 and a reduced role as the squad improved, he turns 32 in November and would be 33 in November 2027, though his value beyond starts remains clear. Summer 2027 could also trim the wage bill, with Alan Browne, Aji Alese and Abdoullah Ba possible movers unless circumstances change, and decisions are needed on Kevin Danso’s loan and Simon Moore’s terms. With much of the core secured to 2029, 2030 or 2031, Ghisolfi can act strategically, deciding who to reward, whose value to protect and which long-serving players still fit the Sunderland being built.
