Kaminski is enduring a difficult start at Benfica and is unlikely to be among Marco Silva’s main options this season, according to Correio da Manhã.
The Poland international arrived to bolster the attack after a €17 million move, but his performances so far have fallen short of expectations and he has yet to justify the outlay.
Despite dissatisfaction with his output, an immediate exit is not planned. The more likely scenario is that he remains in the squad until the January window, when Benfica could assess offers and consider his future.
The club’s intention is to sell Kaminski and recover as much of their investment as possible. Those in charge accept it will be difficult to recoup the full fee.
In the meantime, Benfica want to give him time to respond and try to turn the situation around. Marco Silva will continue to assess him over the coming months, but disappointment with his contribution already exists within the hierarchy.
