According to BuLi News, head coach Adi Hütter has confirmed that Kauã Santos will start Eintracht Frankfurt’s DFB-Pokal opener at SC St. Tönis on Friday, amid ongoing uncertainty over the first-choice role.

The decision follows a 7-0 friendly defeat to Brentford, after which reports suggested the club had lost faith in Santos as their first choice and were seeking a replacement.

"We will go into Friday’s game with Santos and then we’ll see what happens in the future," Hütter said at a press conference on Wednesday.
