Klopp reportedly makes goalkeeper call ahead of Germany’s clash with Serbia

Germany are set to change goalkeeper for the third time in three games since Jürgen Klopp took over as head coach when they take on Serbia on Thursday.

According to Abendzeitung, Jonas Urbig will be handed his Germany debut at his usual home ground, the Allianz Arena in Munich.

Having been confirmed as Klopp’s new No. 1, Marc-André ter Stegen started the 1-1 draw with the Netherlands before Alexander Nübel was given the chance in Sunday’s 0-1 defeat to Greece.

Both goalkeepers have since left the national team camp, with the second of two squads called up by Klopp having arrived ahead of the upcoming matches against Serbia and Greece.

In addition to Urbig, Eintracht Frankfurt’s Noah Atubolu and Augsburg’s Finn Dahmen are part of the 25-man squad for the next two games.
