Alexandre Lacazette has mirrored Leandre Tawamba’s 2019 feat, scoring in successive matches against the same team at the same stadium within three days.

The France forward struck three times against Al-Faisaly at Al-Majma'ah Sports City Stadium. He scored in Neom's 3-1 win on Tuesday in the King's Cup round of 32, then returned on Friday to register a brace in a 2-0 victory in the second round of the Saudi Roshn League.

Tawamba produced the same pattern in 2019. The Al-Taawoun striker netted in a 5-0 King's Cup semi-final win over Al-Hilal on 26 April at King Saud University Stadium in Riyadh.

Three days later he went back to the same venue and scored the opener in a 2-0 league win against Al-Hilal.

The parallels are clear. Both began in the King's Cup, met the same opponent in the league three days later, scored in both on their opponents' ground, and won twice. Lacazette finished with three goals across the two games, one more than the Cameroonian.
