Leeds United’s deadline day is set to hinge on Melvin Bard joining, Willy Gnonto’s future and Largie Ramazani departing. Gnonto’s proposed move to Fiorentina depends on Leeds adding another attacker.

Leeds are poised to sign the versatile French left back on a season-long loan from Nice, a €one million fee and a €five million option to buy. Bard, 25, landed on Tuesday lunchtime for a medical. L’Equipe reports the agreement is in place.

Leeds gave Gnonto permission to travel and he arrived in Italy on Monday, later pictured in Fiorentina training gear. He will only be allowed to join if they sign another attacker, and any incoming forward would be a late loan.

United tried to take Mykhailo Mudryk on loan from Chelsea, but the Ukraine international is heading to Tottenham. Leeds remain interested in another attacker, although they are now waiting to see what opens up as the window closes.

If no attacker arrives, Gnonto is expected to return to Leeds. Weekend claims linked the club with Wolves winger Matheus Mane, but they are not pursuing the 18-year-old.

Ramazani is set to join Championship side Burnley on a season-long loan, with the move expected to become permanent at the end of the campaign.
