PSG’s summer is warming up, and the latest word from Marc Mechenoua of Onze Mondial is that the Parisians’ latest summer signing is soon to be completed.
The deal to sign Ferran Torres has been discussed all summer, but it’s only in the last week that things have started moving forward. Barcelona have accepted that the forward wants to go, and the one year remaining on his contract is limiting what they can ask for him.
Mechenoua says that negotiations are “progressing positively” and that a deal of €55m including bonuses looks likely to be final.
“A total agreement is hoped for by Friday,” he adds. Earlier reports revealed that Torres is going to sign a deal until 2031.
PSG are preparing to play in the UEFA Super Cup against Aston Villa tomorrow night, and will look to wrap this deal up with that game behind them.
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Zion Suzuki will also join PSG in the coming days – but he looks more likely to be turning out for Juventus this season, strangely.
It was a slow start to the summer for PSG in terms of buying players, but with Suzuki now confirmed and Maghnes Akliouche already secured, they are reinforcing their squad at last.
Malo Gusto continues to be linked with a PSG move, but the massive asking price Chelsea have in mind is making a deal look impossible right now.
