Andrea Pinamonti Announced as New Lazio Player

Gennaro Gattuso finally has a new striker at his disposal, with Andrea Pinamonti confirmed as Lazio’s newest signing on Thursday morning. However, the 27-year-old’s arrival from Sassuolo might not necessarily spell the end of the Biancocelesti’s attacking changes.

Petar Ratkov Could Leave Lazio

After rejecting previous offers from Dynamo Moscow and Southampton, Ratkov is finally considering leaving the club, realising he risks spending another campaign on the bench, with Gattuso making it abundantly clear he doesn’t plan to rely on his services. The Serbian is said to be open to joining Sevilla.

Lazio & Sevilla Working on Ratkov Formula

According to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla, Lazio are currently negotiating a deal with the Andalusians, who are now the favourites to sign Ratkov. The Aquile have asked their Spanish counterparts to add an obligation to buy at the end of the season, or at least improve the loan fee.

Lazio Still Want Conrad Harder?

While it remains to be seen if Ratkov will end up signing for Sevilla, Italian journalist Damiano Er Faina claims Lazio would launch a serious onslaught for Harder if they can offload the Serbian. The 22-year-old is a Danish international striker who made the move from Sporting CP to Leipzig last summer, but hasn’t been able to carve himself a starting role at the Bundesliga club.

Nevertheless, signing Harder remains a daunting task, as Leeds United and Galatasaray are both said to be tracking the physically imposing striker, as reported by multiple sources across Europe.

Lazio’s Current Attacking Options

If Lazio don’t add another striker to their ranks, Boulaye Dia would be the main alternative for Pinamonti in the centre-forward role, while the versatile Tijjani Noslin can also lead the line, even though Gattuso prefers to deploy him on the wings.
