Lazio ‘to push’ for Andrea Pinamonti as next 48 hours could be decisive | OneFootball

Corriere dello Sport reports the next 48 hours could be decisive as Lazio mount a final push to sign Sassuolo striker Andrea Pinamonti.

The forward has agreed personal terms with Lazio after several meetings with his agent Giuseppe Riso, with a five-year contract worth just over €two million per season on the table. Agreement between the clubs is still required.

Lazio can only proceed with a loan plus option to buy due to a net-zero market policy, meaning spending must be funded by sales. To date they have offloaded Mario Gila and Ivan Provedel.

Sassuolo are open to that structure but first intend to extend the 27-year-old’s expiring deal to protect value. They also want a significant loan fee.

Claudio Lotito has lifted the loan offer from €one million to €two and a half million and could soon raise it to €four million, edging towards the €four and a half million Sassuolo seek.

In addition to a €four million loan, Lazio would include an €eight million option to buy, matching Sassuolo’s €twelve million asking price.

Gennaro Gattuso’s side have already strengthened the defence with Danilho Doekhi, Josip Sutalo and Alfonso Pedraza, and Davide Frattesi has returned to bolster midfield. After missing out on Mauro Icardi, Franjo Ivanovic and Santiago Gimenez, the club remain focused on landing a striker.
