Lazio stalwarts Alessio Romagnoli, Luca Pellegrini and Manuel Lazzari could end up sealing last-minute summer transfers
The Biancocelesti are about to part ways with Boulaye Dia and Petar Ratkov, who are finalising their transfers to Stade Rennais and Levante respectively. On the contrary, Matteo Cancellieri is no longer on the chopping block, with Gennaro Gattuso urging the management to keep him, despite Albert Gudmundsson’s arrival.
However, three other Italian players with expiring contracts are still facing uncertain futures, and their fates will be decided in the coming hours.
The first is Romagnoli, as his longtime suitors, Al-Sadd, are refusing to give up. Sky Sport Italia correspondent Gianluca Di Marzio reveals that the two clubs are still negotiating a deal, but most suitors believe it remains an uphill task for the Qatari champions, as Claudio Lotito hasn’t been tempted by the new terms, which include delayed payment due to the situation in the Middle East.

Romagnoli has also been linked with Atalanta, where he would reunite with Maurizio Sarri, but there haven’t been major developments on this track on Tuesday
Meanwhile, Pellegrini is attracting interest from Turkish suitors, reveals Radio Laziale (via La Lazio Siamo Noi). The market in Turkiye will remain open until Friday evening, so this story could drag on for a few more days. The 27-year-old currently finds himself third choice behind fellow left-backs Nuno Tavares and Alfonso Pedraza.
Similar to Pellegrini, Lazzari is also surplus to requirements at Lazio, with Adam Marusic and Romano Floriani Mussolini ahead of him in the pecking order. The 32-year-old has been linked with Sassuolo and Monza earlier in the summer, and many believe he will be the object of last-minute attempts from Serie A suitors.
