Le Havre confirm Rayan Fofana loan from Lens with no buy option | OneFootball

Le Havre have confirmed the arrival of Lens forward Rayan Fofana on loan, with no option to buy.

According to L'Équipe, the 20-year-old made 25 Ligue 1 appearances last season, scoring five, and remains under contract with RC Lens until 2029.

There was no late twist, the move proceeding as first indicated last Thursday. He had also drawn interest from other Ligue 1 clubs and Rangers.

At Le Havre he will compete for minutes with fellow recruits Josh Maja, formerly of Bordeaux and arriving from West Bromwich, and the Japanese Sota Nakamura, on loan from Hiroshima. He will also vie with Tanzania international Mbwana Samatta.

After two matches, Le Havre sit 14th with one point, earned in Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Olympique Lyonnais following an opening 0-1 defeat to Monaco.
