According to L'Équipe, Le Havre honoured the late Eric Roy before kick-off of their Ligue 1 meeting with Brest on Saturday, following his death on 17 June.

Le Mans and Toulouse had already marked his memory on 22 and 29 August respectively, both games finishing 2-2, including the presentation of a signed shirt to Brest.

At the stadium, a minute of applause was observed and his portrait appeared on the giant screens.

Roy, who was 58, died of pancreatic cancer.

Stade Brestois will stage a major tribute during the next round against Paris-SG on Sunday 13 September at 20:45, with his family present at Francis-Le Blé, set to be full for the first time this season.
