Leeds ‘give final go-ahead’ for Wilfried Gnonto loan to Fiorentina

Leeds have given the final go-ahead for Fiorentina to complete the signing of Wilfried Gnonto, according to Sky Sport Italia.

He is expected to join on loan with an option to buy on the final day of the Serie A summer window, which closes at 19.00 BST.

The 13-time Italy international is in Tuscany, has completed his medical with the Viola and has been seen in Fiorentina training kit.

The move had appeared at risk on Tuesday evening, as Leeds wanted a replacement lined up before sanctioning his exit.

With approval now granted, Fiorentina are set to finish the formalities, and an official announcement is expected shortly.
