Leeds United have completed the signing of Swiss international defender Nico Elvedi from Borussia Mönchengladbach on a permanent deal.
The 29-year-old becomes Leeds’ fourth new addition of the summer transfer window, signing for a fee of around £8.5m including add-ons.
Elvedi has spent the majority of his senior career with Mönchengladbach, making more than 300 appearances for the Bundesliga club since joining from FC Zurich in 2015.
Meanwhile, Leeds have also confirmed that Sebastiaan Bornauw has joined Bundesliga side Hamburg SV on loan for the remainder of the 2026/27 season.
The 27-year-old joined the Whites in the summer of 2025 following their return to the Premier League, arriving from Wolfsburg.
Bornauw will now spend the season back in Germany as he looks to secure regular first-team football with Hamburg.
Following the departures of Joe Gelhardt and Joel Piroe, Leeds remain keen on strengthening in attack before the transfer window shuts next month.
