Leeds United ‘to sign’ Michael Zetterer after transfer U-turn | OneFootball

Leeds United look set to land Michael Zetterer from Eintracht Frankfurt after the goalkeeper reversed his decision to stay in Germany.

According to Kicker, his exit is imminent and he flew into Leeds over the weekend, with that appearing to be the turning point as he can now envisage playing under Daniel Farke.

He has been targeted as the replacement for Lucas Perri, who is expected to join Torino.

Zetterer had initially planned to remain and fight for the number one shirt at Frankfurt, and his agent Nico Pellatz publicly dismissed the prospect of a move at the time.

He is now reportedly ready to accept a secondary role behind James Trafford. If he signs, he would be the club’s fifth summer arrival after Trafford, Harry Wilson, Tarik Muharemovic and Nico Elvedi.
