The race for the presidency of FC Barcelona is beginning to gather serious momentum, and one name could soon dominate the headlines.
According to information revealed by Barça Reservat and relayed by SPORT, one of the pre-candidates in the upcoming elections is preparing to propose Luis Enrique as a future head coach project.
With voting scheduled in just over two weeks, campaign strategies are entering a decisive phase.
Each candidate is looking for a compelling message to win over the club’s members.
For current president Joan Laporta, his strongest argument remains stability. Under his leadership, Hansi Flick has delivered encouraging results, and Laporta’s stance is the German’s continuity.
Interestingly, the other pre-candidates, namely, Victor Font, Marc Ciria and Xavi Vilajoana, have also publicly supported Flick’s continuation with the first team.
That unity around the German coach makes the sudden emergence of Luis Enrique’s name even more intriguing.

According to the outlet, at least one aspiring president intends to bring Luis Enrique into the conversation as a long-term project.
The idea would be to spark excitement among members who still remember his successful spell at the club.
Currently, Luis Enrique remains under contract with Paris Saint-Germain until 2027. However, the same reports suggest that the Spaniard has always harboured a desire to return to Barcelona at some stage in his managerial career.
There is even talk internally of a strong possibility that he could eventually coach again at the Spotify Camp Nou.
From an electoral perspective, mentioning his name could be a powerful move, as Enrique is associated with a winning identity, attacking football, and European success.
Whether this is a genuine long-term project or simply an electoral tactic remains to be seen.
What is certain is that Barcelona’s presidential campaign is now entering a more dramatic stage and Enrique’s name could become the centre of attention in the final stretch before voting day.
