Leicester City sign Birmingham City midfielder Van Egmond | OneFootball

Leicester City have completed the signing of Birmingham City midfielder Emily van Egmond on a two-year-deal with the option of a further year.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Foxes this afternoon.

It is believed that Leicester City have paid an undisclosed fee to secure the player’s services.

The 32-year-old brings a wealth of experience with her to The King Power Stadium. Van Egmond has played club football in Australia, Denmark, the United States, Germany and England in her long career to date. She has won silverware in competitions across the world.

On the international stage, Van Egmond has been capped by Australia on 163 occasions while she has scored 32 goals for her country.

After joining Leicester City, Van Egmond said “I am really excited to be here and can’t wait to get started. I’ll bring my experience to the Club and hopefully help the team win games.

“I want to show my mentality and show what it takes to win games in this league. I’ve been involved in the game for a number of years now and I’m excited to see what we can do together.”

Van Egmond could be involved for Leicester City when they travel to Manchester United this weekend.
