Leicester City are weighing a January move for a striker, with Michail Antonio under consideration, and could address other positions too.

Marti Cifuentes says plans are set barring injuries and that he and the club are aligned on targets, per LeicesterMercury.co.uk.

A striker tops the list and free agent Antonio is being assessed. If no deal comes, loan or free options could follow.

Across 21 games, City’s three strikers have five goals, only three from open play. With Patson Daka at the Africa Cup of Nations and Julian Carranza short on minutes, added punch could help.

At left-back, Victor Kristiansen’s knee surgery leaves Luke Thomas as the sole senior option. His form has been mixed, so competition is plausible, though it could curb Bade Aluko’s minutes.

When Thomas has played, City are +8 for goal difference, joint-best with Bobby De Cordova-Reid and Jeremy Monga.

Centre-back is not urgent, but exits might change that. Wout Faes is a leading candidate to depart as he seeks a club to revive Belgium hopes before the World Cup.

That would be manageable if Harry Souttar returns, yet after a year out his impact and role are unclear. With Caleb Okoli out with a knee injury, the market may need watching.

In midfield, Oliver Skipp is anchoring with Harry Winks out of the picture and Boubakary Soumare injured. Hamza Choudhury is covering right-back as deputy to Ricardo Pereira, while Sammy Braybrooke is expected to stay on loan at Newport to aid long-term development.
