Leicester sign Brighton & Hove Albion winger Tommy Watson on season-long loan

Leicester City have completed a season-long loan for Brighton & Hove Albion winger Tommy Watson, becoming the Foxes' fifth signing of the transfer window.

Watson told the club's website the move appealed because of Leicester's size and ambition, adding he aims to work hard, bring energy and make a real contribution this season.

The 20-year-old scored Sunderland's stoppage-time winner against Sheffield United in the 2024-25 Championship play-off final, helping the club reach the Premier League.

He then joined Brighton for £10m and has made 10 appearances for the Seagulls.

Watson spent the second half of last season on loan at Millwall, featuring 12 times for Alex Neil's side as they were beaten by Hull City in the Championship play-off semi-finals.
